International Fateh Academy, Jandiala Guru, celebrated Khalsa Sajna Diwas along with a thanksgiving ceremony marking the successful completion of 17 years of the academy and its entry into the 18th year. The event began on April 5, 2025, with the commencement of the Sri Akhand Path Sahib, which concluded with the Bhog (completion ceremony). A grand Kirtan Darbar was held in the academy’s spacious grounds.
During the Kirtan Darbar, students from International Fateh Academy, Jandiala Guru, and Fateh World School, Raiya, presented melodious Kirtan (devotional hymns) of Gurbani to the congregation gathered in the pandal (tent). The soulful Kirtan and spiritual poetry by the students created a deeply divine and spiritual atmosphere. The students of International Fateh Academy mesmerized the entire congregation by reciting the Zafarnama. At the start of the new session, the new students were welcomed with greeting cards.
On this occasion, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Ji, a serene Hazoori Ragi from Sri Darbar Sahib, delighted the congregation with soul-touching Kirtan. Panj Pyare from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Satnam Singh Ji Khanda, and his companions came, and sharing spiritual wisdom with the attending devotees, stated that in today’s times, it is the duty of all of us to connect our children with Gurbani and our mother tongue, Punjabi, so that they can learn to pronounce Gurbani correctly.
While addressing the congregation, Sardar Gurparkash Singh, son of Sardar Jagbir Singh Ji, Chairman of the International Fateh Academy, emphasized the importance of Gurbani in our lives and inspired everyone to live a Gursikh way of life. He stated that along with academic education, religious education is also essential because the principles of our faith make us unique and teach us to walk on the path of truth.
Sardar Jagbir Singh Ji, Chairman of International Fateh Academy, warmly welcomed the new students and the entire Sangat (congregation) attending the religious event. He shed light on the importance of Gurbani in our lives and inspired the students to stay connected with both Bani (scripture) and Bana (spiritual attire). Quoting the Gurbani verse “Gurbani is the divine light in this world,” he emphasized that the Guru’s words serve as a guiding light in today’s complex world. He added that Gurbani not only provides spiritual inspiration but also uplifts our entire way of living.
The students of the academy, with discipline and dedication, performed sewa (selfless service) and received divine blessings. Throughout the event, tea and fritters were continuously served as langar, and at the conclusion, Guru ka Langar was served to all in the traditional uninterrupted manner.
