ETO dedicates projects worth more than Rs 1.5 crore to schools in Jandiala Guru constituency

Cabinet Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO today visited various schools in Jandiala Guru constituency and dedicated projects worth more than Rs 1.5 crore to schools. He said that today two new classrooms in Government Elementary School Nangal Guru, renovation of four doors and rooms in Government Middle School Nangal Guru, a path made of interlock tiles in Government Elementary School Janiya, four walls in Government Middle School Janiya, four walls in Government Elementary School Bandala and other works were dedicated to the children, four doors and a science lab in Government Elementary School Safipur.
Addressing the gathering of villagers held on this occasion, he said that the Punjab government is celebrating this year as an education revolution and those works are being done on a large scale in all schools across Punjab, which the previous governments had not done yet. He said that the children studying in these schools are children of needy families, who cannot afford expensive education. He said that the Mann government decided that we will provide facilities of expensive schools in village schools and on that decision, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann showered flowers and gave not lakhs but crores of rupees to the schools, due to which today the direction of the schools has become better than that of private schools. He said that this expenditure on children will become a partner in the better future of our Punjab and our children will fly long distances.
