Amritsar Rural Police arrested 6 accused including 2 kg heroin, 300 grams opium, Rs 4.5 lakh drug money and a car.

As per the directions received from Satinder Singh DIG Border Range and SSP Rural, under the supervision of Harinder Singh Gill SPD, while taking action against drug smugglers, during the blockade, Bhindi Saida police stopped two car riders and checked them. 2 kg heroin and 1.5 lakh drug money were recovered from the car riders Balbir Singh alias Beera son of Baldev Singh resident Majari near Banga police station Banga, Ajay Verma son of Harbhajan resident Majari near Banga. These two accused were arrested along with the car and their backward and forward links were investigated. They told that they had bought this heroin from Sukhdev Singh Sukh son of Dalbir Singh resident Naushera, presently resident of Attari, Harmandeep Singh alias Honey son of Satnam Singh resident Lalu Ghumman police station Jhabbal district Tarn Taran. Under the same series, Lopoke police arrested village Chaugawan with 300 grams of opium and 3 lakh drug money.  Success has been achieved.
